Not only is the annual Red Wing Pottery Society convention held in Red Wing, but the operational Red Wing Pottery factory is also open to visit. Here you can observe pottery being hand-thrown and fired. The Mississippi Queen and Delta Queen make scheduled visits to the city as well, once again reliving the days of yore romanticized by Mark Twain himself. Hobgoblin music center offers popular folk concerts and is a unique setting where harps are manufactured. T.B. Sheldon Theatre features a broad and eclectic range of concerts and theatrical performances.

Winter is serene with enormous living and dining room windows open to the stars and snowfall. Winter is definitely for hibernating in front of the gas fireplace which rises 27 feet dividing living room from dining area. Welch Ski Village is also nearby if you prefer the thrill of downhill skiing or snow boarding. If you're into high adventure rock climbing or mountain biking, some of the best and most challenging mountain bike trails and rock climbing on Barn's bluff are within biking distance of The Log Inn.
