We want to do
whatever we can to make your stay at The Log Inn a
wonderful, creative and memorable. Here are answers to the
most commonly asked questions. Please do not hesitate to let
us know if you need anything else!
Q: What time is check-in
and check-out?
A: Check-in is after 3:00 pm on your start date and
check-out is before 1:00 pm on your end date. If you need
special arrangements let us know. Depending on the arrival
time of the next group check-out times can be flexible.
Q: Do you allow guests
other than scrapbookers?
A: Of course! Although the house has been targeted
towards scrapbookers, any crafting group is welcome to enjoy
the spacious workroom; stamping, quilting, beading,
knitting, embroidery, etc. We welcome your non-crafting
friends as well. Red Wing offers something for everyone. See

Q: How much space is
there for each person to work?
A: Each person has a 6' table, complete with overhead
task lighting and ergonomic adjustable office chair.
Q: What tools are
available to use at The Log Inn?
A: There are many items including a computer &
printer and paper cutter. See our craft room page for a
detailed list of tools and other supplies available to you.
Q: What are the sleeping
accommodations?
A: There are 4 bedrooms with 12 beds total. Since our
retreats sleeps 12, you will be able to decide the best
arrangements for your group. We have 3 full size beds and 9
twins. There are 2 1/2 bathrooms.
Q: Do I need to bring
bedding/linens?
A: Each bed is made up with fresh, clean egyptian
cotton sheets, blanket, quilt and a pillow. Additionally
each guest receives a set of soft 100% egyptian cotton
bathroom towels for their use during their visit.
Q: What are dining
options for the weekend?
A: Your group is welcome to bring meals for the
weekend. The full service kitchen will have everything you
need to prepare your meals. The main kitchen is equipped
with a stove, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a microwave, and
cooking essentials. There is a sink, refrigerator, microwave
and outdoor grill. There are many options for dining out or

Q: How about smoking and
pets?
A: Smoking is not allowed inside The Log Inn. You may
smoke outside on the front porch. There is a bucket with
sand to safely deposit cigarette butts. We do not allow pets
on the property for the benefit of the house and your fellow
guests.
Q: What else is there to
do in Red Wing?
A: Red Wing offers many options if you want a break
from your craft. The Log Inn is only minutes away from the
historical downtown shopping district. Additionally there
are bluffs, parks, biking paths within walking distance. For

Q: What if we don’t have
a group of twelve?
A: Sometimes groups have a few openings they'd like
to fill and we'd be very happy to assist you in finding
other groups.
Q: Do you have internet
access?
A: Yes, we have a high speed connection via cable
modem on our computer plus a wireless internet connection
throughout the house for those who wish to bring laptops.

A: Red Wing has a scrapbook supply shop in town.
Additional scrapbook stores are located near by in both Lake
City (15 minutes) and Hastings (25 minutes).
We can have scrapbook supplies brought to the house during
the weekend and/or classes held if interested.
